Hi, I’m Emie.

As a rural Ohio native, I was immersed at a young age in creative endeavors. Continually surrounded by artistic pursuits, my father would impart his long-honed skills of lettering, calligraphy, drawing + design on me; my mother would showcase her talents in sewing, quilting + costume-making; my brother would encourage expressive talent through doodles, dance, singing + acting + my twin sister would soak up this creativity alongside me.

Completing my Bachelo'r’s degree at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I was not ready to return to a small town. I pursued work at a city magazine, developing layouts, ads, campaigns + monthly releases. Moving next to corporate in-house advertising, I was able to create work on a much larger scale + learn to juggle multiple projects on different timelines, varied resources + teams.

After a few years at home with my kids while still continuing design work, I have taken interest in all manner of creative pursuits, diversifying my knowledge, skills, interests + perspectives on art + design.

Ready to step back into the bigger world of design, I can't wait to see what we can create together.
